What Is Fanvue? How the Platform Works in 2026
Updated
Fanvue is a subscription platform where creators sell monthly access to their photos, videos and messages, and fans pay each creator they want to follow. It is run from London, its standard split is 80% to the creator and 20% to Fanvue, and it openly accepts AI creators as long as their pages are labeled. Think of it as a close cousin of OnlyFans with two practical differences for fans: free trials are a built-in feature, and a page that is generated by AI has to say so. If you want to dig deeper into the AI side of things, our guide to AI OnlyFans explains what those creators actually are.
Fanvue in one minute
Fanvue describes itself as a social subscription platform for every kind of creator, human or AI. A creator opens a page, sets a monthly price, and posts content that only paying subscribers can see. On top of the subscription, creators earn from tips, pay-per-view messages and standalone content sales, and voice calls and voice notes. Fanvue's own help center gives the standard payout split as 80% to the creator and 20% commission to Fanvue.
The company behind it is Shift Holdings Ltd, a limited company registered in England and Wales and based in London. That matters more than it sounds: a named, registered operator with published terms is the first thing to check before you hand any site your card.
For a fan, the experience is familiar. You create an account, find a creator, and either follow them for free or subscribe for full access. Everything is paid inside the platform, so you never send money to a creator through a third-party link.
How a Fanvue subscription works
A subscription unlocks the creator's subscriber-only posts and media, plus direct messages subject to the creator's settings. Fanvue bills in 30-day cycles from the date and time of your first payment, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel. The total, including any VAT or local tax, is shown on the payment screen before you confirm.
Each creator sets their own price. Fanvue's creator help pages put the allowed range at 3.99 to 100 dollars a month, and creators can also sell bundles. Across the 425 Fanvue pages we pull live into FANNUDE, the cheapest is $3.99, the most expensive $100, and the median sits at $9.99 a month.
Pay-per-view is separate. A PPV post or message is a one-off purchase that is not included in the subscription, and Fanvue says purchased PPV stays accessible after your subscription ends unless the creator deletes it. That is where most of a fan's spending beyond the monthly fee goes, so it is worth setting your own budget before you start unlocking.
If you are not ready to pay, many pages let you follow for free. Followers see whatever the creator makes available to followers, can receive the creator's messages, and can buy pay-per-view content the creator sends, but they cannot see subscriber-only posts.
Free trials: the feature that sets Fanvue apart
Fanvue gives creators a free trial link tool. The creator chooses how many times the link can be used, when it expires and how long the trial lasts, then shares it. In our data, 190 of the 425 Fanvue pages we track, about 45%, were running a trial when we last checked, with lengths from 1 to 30 days.
A trial is not free forever. If you do not cancel before it ends, it converts into a paid subscription at the creator's standard price on the day it expires. Fanvue says it emails fans 24 hours before a trial converts, and you can see the end date under Settings, Payments and Subscriptions, Manage My Subscriptions.
Used well, a trial is the cheapest way to check that a page posts as often as its preview suggests. Our free trial list collects the Fanvue pages offering one right now.
AI creators on Fanvue
Fanvue allows fully AI-generated creators, which is one reason it comes up in every conversation about AI pages. Its policy requires anyone posting AI-generated media to disclose it clearly, for example in the bio, the caption or a watermark, and it forbids AI media of a real person other than the account owner.
For fans, the practical rule is simple: every AI creator carries an AI tag in the profile bio, which Fanvue says it is required by law to show. AI creator accounts go through the same verification process as human creators. Fanvue also says it will not refund a subscription on the grounds that a creator is AI if the label was visible when you subscribed, so read the bio first.
Some creators are real people who use AI tools for part of their content. Fanvue calls these AI-enhanced creators. If a page looks generated but carries no label, Fanvue asks fans to report it.
Paying on Fanvue, and what shows on your statement
Fanvue accepts Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PIX for users in Brazil, and cryptocurrency through the Fanvue wallet. It does not accept PayPal, Discover, Cash App, Zelle, bank transfers or store gift cards. Most card payments go through 3D Secure, so expect your bank to ask you to approve the charge.
Every Fanvue charge appears on your bank or card statement as fanvue.com, with no creator name or further description. Fanvue says this is deliberate, to protect the privacy of its users.
You can also stay anonymous as a fan. Fanvue assigns a random username at sign-up, and creators never see your email, your real name, your card details or your purchases with other creators.
Fanvue compared with OnlyFans
On fees the two are level: Fanvue's standard commission is 20%, and OnlyFans' terms set its fee at 20% of each fan payment. The differences are elsewhere. Fanvue builds free trials into the product and labels AI pages with a profile tag, while OnlyFans asks AI content to be captioned with a tag such as #ai. Our full Fanvue vs OnlyFans comparison puts the two side by side, and our guide to OnlyFans alternatives adds Fansly and MYM.
In our own directory the balance is clear: 435 of the 475 profiles we list are on Fanvue, against 40 on OnlyFans. That reflects our focus rather than the size of either platform.
How to find a creator's real Fanvue page
Search results for any creator name fill up with copies: impersonator accounts, leak sites and pages that ask you to pay outside the platform. Fanvue's own advice is to trust links on the fanvue.com domain only, ignore anything with misspellings or extra characters, and remember that Fanvue never sends in-app messages asking for your details.
The fastest route is a directory that links to the official page. Every creator in our Fanvue directory links to the page we checked, which is what Verified by FANNUDE means on our site. Start with the best creators by category or this month's free trials, and read is Fanvue legit before your first payment.
