Fanvue vs Fansly: Trials, Tiers, AI Rules Compared

Price and how you subscribe

On Fanvue a creator sets one monthly price, between 3.99 and 100 dollars, and can add bundles. Across the 425 Fanvue pages we track, prices run from $3.99 to $100 with a median of $9.99, and 271 of them cost less than $10.

Fansly lets a creator offer several subscription tiers, each with its own perks and price, plus 3-month or 6-month plans paid upfront. Switching tiers is instant but costly if done mid-cycle: the new tier starts at full price and Fansly says the days left on the old one are forfeited and not refunded. If you plan to upgrade, do it at the end of a billing cycle.

Fansly charges everything in US dollars, so fans outside the US pay their bank's conversion rate. It also runs a prepaid wallet, topped up in preset amounts of up to 500 dollars at a time, which pays for tips and small purchases automatically when it has enough balance.

Trying a creator for free

This is Fanvue's clearest advantage. Creators can issue free trial links with their own length, number of uses and expiry, and 190 of the 425 Fanvue pages we track were running one at our last check. A trial opens the full subscriber feed, then becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel; Fanvue emails a reminder 24 hours before. Our free trial list shows the current ones.

Fansly's help center describes promotions instead: a reduced price for the first month, shown on the creator's profile, and private discount codes that can change the price or the length of a subscription. Both roll into the regular price afterwards. On both, a free follow shows whatever a creator chooses to make public to followers.

AI creators: opposite rules

Fanvue openly hosts AI creators. Every one of them carries an AI tag in the profile bio and passes the same verification as a human creator, so you know before you pay.

Fansly says photorealistic AI-generated content is not allowed, and that labeling it as AI does not make it acceptable. Only non-photorealistic virtual creators can apply, registered under the real legal identity of the person behind them. Discovery

Fansly puts discovery at the center. Its For You page recommends posts from creators you do not follow yet, based on what you interact with; suggestion lists follow your interests; and a discovery page lets you search by tags and hashtags, filtering on up to five at once.

Fanvue has creator search with an adult content toggle, available once any age check your region requires is complete. Canceling, refunds and fees

Canceling works the same way on both: you switch off renewal from your subscriptions page and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Fanvue advises canceling at least an hour or two before renewal, since a payment already processing still goes through.

Refunds are rare on both. Fanvue treats all payments as non-refundable, reviewing only double charges, technical errors, misdescribed content and unfulfilled paid custom requests raised within 30 days, and bans accounts that file a chargeback without contacting support first. Fansly says most purchases are final but reviews requests case by case, and may refund a subscription if a creator fails to deliver promised content and blocks you, credited to your Fansly balance.

One Fansly-specific fee: an account with no activity for 12 consecutive months can be charged 5 dollars a month, taken only from the wallet balance and repeated until it reaches zero or you log back in. Logging in from time to time avoids it.

Safety and age checks

Both check creators before they can earn. Fanvue requires an ID document and a selfie. Fansly runs an identity and age check through Ondato, then asks for both sides of a government ID, a photo holding the ID with a handwritten sign, and a short video.

Both also use Ondato for fan age checks where the law requires one. Fansly names the UK, Australia, Brazil and Germany, plus twelve US states including Texas, Florida and Tennessee; Fanvue says the check depends on your location. Our verdict

Choose Fanvue if you want to test pages with a free trial, follow AI creators, or simply pay in your own currency. Choose Fansly if you prefer tiered subscriptions, like being shown new creators by a recommendation feed, and are happy to pay in dollars through a wallet.
